Intern Architect Claudia Hapenciuc holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Arizona. She believes that the role of the architect is to be a public servant to the community, as well as a steward to the natural site. Claudia considers architecture to be both a science and an art. This requires architects to be a jack of all trades and a master of patience. She admires the monumental works of the ancient, and often anonymous, master builders, as well as the modern wonders of the ordered chaos that is parametric design.
Stemming from being a full time architect and part time anthropologist, Claudia has a passion for buildings and books. She enjoys reading everything from scientific journals to dramatic fiction. When not reading, she dabbles in the art of writing poetry, prose, and a bit of science fiction. Every day she strives to learn from any given situation, in order to better build her knowledge and craft–all while remembering to just keep swimming.
